New for 2012 – Cosmos offers 2 air options: Flex Air and Instant Purchase Air. Flex Air allows flexibility if you want to make changes to your vacation schedule. Instant Purchase Air may offer additional airline options but has more restrictions. Some vacations may only offer one Air type option.
There are several good reasons to book your flights with Cosmos:

Free airport transfers (on published dates)
When you book your Cosmos vacation air-inclusive, the transfer to and from the airport to your start and end hotel is included. This can be a substantial savings and give you peace of mind.
Land-only tour clients who make their own air arrangements on regularly scheduled direct or nonstop flights or nonstop transatlantic flights (but not chartered flights) into international terminals may reserve our airport transfer service.
Transfers will be provided only if confirmed by Cosmos. Look for confirmation of your transfer in the travel documents.
Air coordinated with vacation dates
With Cosmos, think of your entire vacation as one-stop shopping. Rather than spending hours researching flight options to coordinate with your vacation start and end dates, let us handle the work. And when we book your air, if there are any changes to your vacation schedule, we make the air changes for you.
Great prices without the hassle
As a completely independent tour operator, we have no ties to any one airline. We have negotiated the lowest possible airfares with the world’s finest carriers on behalf of our travelers.
Book early to get even better prices
Plus, Cosmos buying power means generally better rates for you. The earlier you book, the better the rates will be, as availability of the best airline rates is at its best.
How we select your flights
Since seats for our low-cost airfares fill quickly, we urge you to book early. Air-inclusive reservations cannot be made later than 10 days prior to departure and additional rules may apply. Although we will try, Cosmos cannot always honor carrier or flight preferences.
Air tickets will be received two to three weeks prior to vacation departure. For any late bookings, tickets are sent overnight after final payment is received. You can contact the air carrier for special service requests, such as seat assignments and special meals, or, if applicable, to advise them of your frequent flyer number.
Guaranteed air-inclusive prices
Flex Air: Air tickets may be issued on the date we receive full invoice payment in order to protect you from price increases. We encourage early payment to ensure that you are not subject to any airfare increases.
Instant Purchase Air: Instant Purchase Air requires air payment in full at time of booking (i.e. air-inclusive vacation) plus $30 per person non-refundable service fee. Once booked, Instant Purchase Air is non-refundable, and non-changeable.
If you revise or cancel your air record after tickets are issued, revision fees or airline cancellation charges may be applicable. Please ask if any such charges apply before making changes.
We also accept your reservation on a land-only basis
While booking your vacation air-inclusive gives you all the advantages described here, you can also choose the land-only option.
Extra nights
Airport transfers can be arranged when you purchase extra nights before or after the vacation. Transfers cannot be provided when you join late or leave early. Flight information for air purchased outside of Cosmos will be required at time of booking the extra night transfers and must be provided to Cosmos prior to final payment.
Applicable Taxes and Fees (Airfare & Charges Not Included in the Price)
Air-Inclusive Vacations
Air-inclusive prices provided online will include all government-imposed taxes and fees applicable at the time of booking. Your air quote will include all applicable air taxes, surcharges and fees, including a September 11th Security Fee of up to $10, passenger facility charges of up to $18, Federal domestic flight segment fees of up to $3.70 per segment, and U.S. and International arrival and departure and other government imposed fees applicable for your itinerary at the time of booking. For return travel from some countries, prices do not include airport and/or departure taxes of up to $45, which may be collected by the foreign government. Air tax and security fees are non-commissionable.
Not Included In Your Vacation Price (Air-Inclusive, Land-Only or Cruise-Only)
Port taxes; passports; visas and vaccinations; tips to your Tour or Cruise Director, Local Host, driver, Local Guides, and/or ships’ crew; gratuities on ferries, trains, and cruise ships; laundry; telephone; minibar; alcohol, beverages, and food outside of the contracted Globus menu as presented at a hotel or restaurant (these extra items will be billed to you before leaving the hotel, ship, or restaurant); additional excursions and activities not listed as 'included' in the itinerary; airport transfers on non-qualifying flights; porterage at airports and train stations; Travel Protection premiums; excess baggage fees; and all other items of a personal nature.
Additional airline fees for baggage may apply.
Taxes and fees
Taxes and fees are extra and subject to change and are not guaranteed until full land and air deposit are received.
What are the Transportation Security Administrative (TSA) requirements?
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) will require full name (as it appears on a government issued ID passenger will be traveling with), date of birth and gender for all passengers. For passengers with an existing air reservation with Cosmos we encourage you to contact us and provide the required TSA information. Failure to provide the required TSA information for your air reservation can result in, delays at the airport during the check-in process and/or flights cancelled prior to departure by the airline.
