Montserrat
The history of Montserrat is fascinating and started in 880 when a small group of shepherd children saw a bright light descending from the sky in the Montserrat mountains and heard angels singing. The children told their parents, who in turn informed a local vicar who was brought to the scene and witnessed the same experiences. On exploring the region an image of the Virgin Mary was found in one of the caves and from that moment on the cave became a holy sanctuary for religious pilgrims. The trip to Montserrat from Barcelona is accompanied by a local guide and lasts about 4 hours. After driving through picturesque villages up to the 1,235 mt. Massif of Montserrat, you will have time to visit the Chapel of our Lady to see the visage of the 14th century Black Virgin (La Moreneta) keeping watch high over the altar. A Day In Capri

After being transferred to the port you will take a boat across to this "jewel of the Mediterranean". Upon disembarkation you will meet up with your local guide and first travel by minicoach up the winding, breathtaking route to Anacapri. Here there will be a visit to the Gardens of Augustus - a natural paradise complete with unforgettable panoramas - where from vantage points one can see the bell tower of St. James' Charterhouse and also the Faraglioni rocks rising from the blue Tyrrhenian sea. Also included is a chair lift ride up to the top of Monte Solaro - weather permitting. Sorrento Musical
For a really enjoyable evening out in Sorrento, join this excursion which will take you to a local theatre where the traditions of songs and dances are magically changed into a musical. The show tells the daily life of people from the south in different scenes - the market place (where people bargain whilst chatting and exchanging gossip), the sea (where the fishermen make their tasks more pleasant by singing), love (as here in Sorrento is where the most beautiful Neapolitan love songs were created) and finally the feast (where everybody dances and sings to communicate their job of life). At the beginning and end of the evening you will be offered free flowing wine or soft drinks. Return back to the hotel no doubt with your favourite song still playing in your head.

Castelli Romani with Dinner
The excursion will leave from the hotel around 15.30 hrs to drive south-east out of Rome to the Alban Hills. Castel Gandolfo is a small town occupying a height overlooking Lake Albano and was voted one of the most beautiful towns in Italy. It is best known as the summer residence of the Pope. A short stop will be made here before proceeding via Marino and Grottaferrata to the nearby town of Frascati. Frascati is renowned for its white wine and is also an important historical and artisic centre. The restaurant we take you to for dinner is near to the characteristic market square and has a particularly charming rustic atmosphere with history in each of its stones. The quality and originality of the Roman kitchen allows you to sample local dishes with unlimited local white wine and mineral water plus coffee. Treasures of Rome by Night & Dinner
An early evening tour will show you other aspects of Rome, perhaps not seen on the included sightseeing tour. Either before or after dinner you will have an orientation drive to probably include Castel Sant' Angelo, Palace of Justice, Mausoleum of Augustus, Aurelian walls, Villa Borghese, Via Veneto, Piazza Barberini and Via Nazionale. A stop will be made at the famous Trevi Fountain, where a traditional legend holds that anyone throwing a coin into the fountain will ensure a return to Rome! Vatican Museum & Sistine Chapel

Archaeological Site
The tour today begins with your tour director escorting your group from the hotel to the Archaeological site of Olympia where you will meet your local Greek guide at the entrance to the site. Considered today as being one of the most interesting and educational sites you will find throughout the Peloponnese, Olympia is mostly famous for being the venue of the Ancient Olympic Games and home to the Olympic flame. Today you will see the remains of a gymnasium, ancient temples, the stadium, housing structures, and just outside the site, the archaeological museum hosting findings from the ancient site and from other excavations in the surrounding areas with well labeled exhibits including the famous statue of Hermes of Praxiteles and Nike Paionios.

Athens by Night
A perfect introduction to the oldest and most historical neighborhood of Athens, begin this evening with an escorted walking tour of Plaka. Built around the northern and eastern slopes of the Acropolis, the district of Plaka is known as the neighborhood of the gods, referring not only to the numerous Archaeological sites, but also to the ancient gods of Greece and their passion for entertainment, drinking wine and dancing. While making your way through the labyrinth of small streets lined with souvenir shops selling leather, jewelry, replicas of archaelogical findings, also notice the neoclassical architecture. See the old houses, once mansions, with their red roof tiles, the Lysikrates Momument opposite Hadrians Arch and as you proceed along the main pedestrian street within Plaka called Andrianou Street, you will pass by the Ancient Agora, Roman Agora, the Bath house of the Winds, finally making your way towards the Greek taverna for dinner and entertainment. Our typical Greek menu begins with various starters to introduce you to the local food including cheese pies, spinach pies, village sausage, stuffed vine leaves and meatballs along with the famous tzatziki dip made of yogurt and garlic, a full greek salad and bread. The main course is a pork or chicken "souvlaki" served with oven potatoes and dessert is walnut cake with a scoop of ice-cream. Red and white local barrel wine is served to accompany this meal.

Full Day Aegean Cruise
"An early departure from the hotel with your Tour Director at approximately 7.15am, and drive to the designated port for embarkation on today's cruise of the Saronic Gulf. Departing at 8.00 am, begin sailing towards the island of Hydra, located approximately 37 nautical miles from the southern mainland. You will notice that donkeys are used for transportation on this small island as cars, by law, are prohibited. On Hydra you will stay approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes allowing for a walk around the shops along the quay or a swim in the Aegean Sea. Departing Hydra, en-route to the island of Poros, a Greek style buffet lunch is served with many of the local traditional foods including Greek salad, stuffed vine leaves, fish roe salad, beans, beetroot, tzatziki, local cheeses, and main courses with fish, beef, pork, chicken or vegetables are served. The island of Poros, 31 nautical miles from Piraeus and with only a 200 meter wide stretch of sea separating it from the town of Galatas on the mainland, is a popular weekend destination for Athenian travelers. The cruise remains on Poros for approximately 1 hour before departing for your final destination, the island of Aegina. The island of Aegina with a population of 13,550 is the largest of the 3 islands visited today. The ship remains at the port for approximately 2 hours allowing time for shopping, swimming or sightseeing. Even though an extinct volcano substitutes for 2/3's of the island, Aegina is well known for cultivating pistachio nuts and exporting worldwide. Estimated time of return to the port after todays cruise is approximately 19.30.

Discover The Venetian Lagoon
Discover the Venetian lagoon on an afternoon excursion lasting approximately 3 hours. After sailing past the island of St. Giorgio, the public gardens, Sant'Elena, the Lido and Murano the boat takes you to the famous island of Burano. This is the most picturesque of Venetian islands of the lagoon and the pretty fishing village has its streets and canals lined by pastel coloured houses. It is also famous for its lace-making industry. There will be time to look around Burano on your own before returning back to St. Mark's Square by boat.

Gondola Serenade
One of the highlights of a trip to Europe and something not to be missed during your visit to Venice is a gondola serenade. The gondola ride either takes place in the morning or the afternoon and lasts approximately 30 minutes when during this time you can relax whilst cruising not only on the Grand Canal but also down many small canals to see Venice from the water. During the gondola ride a local musician will serenade you with the traditional romantic music of Italy.

Venetian Night Out & Dinner
As the title suggests, this is a real Venetian night out. Embark on a motorboat for a cruise along the impressive Giudecca Canal with the tour director pointing out the most important palaces, all built by the Venetian gentry between the 12th and 13th centuries. Upon disembarkation an evening stroll though some of the romantic narrow streets of this fascinating city to eventually reach one of the specially chosen local restaurants for your Venetian dinner. After a welcoming aperitif of the house you can sit down and enjoy a typical dinner with a choice of starters and main course followed by a delicious dessert. Included also is red or white wine plus mineral water and tea or coffee. After dinner you will be given some free time in St. Mark's Square, said to have been called the "drawing room of Europe" by Napoleon and which is one of the few great urban spaces in Europe where human voices prevail over the sounds of motorized traffic. A visit to Vienna is not complete without an evening visit to a traditional authentic "heuriger" - which actually means "the new wine". Kursalon Waltz Show
The Salonorchester Alt Wien, one of the best-known interpreters of classical Viennese music, presents an evening full of charm with lilting sound of waltzes, polkas, arias and duets, as well as operetta and piano concert melodies. During the interval you will be offered a glass of sparkling wine or orange juice. Concerts normally take place at the Kursalon Wien but on rare occasions the concert could take place at Konzerthaus, Mozart Saal.
