Chateua Melnik & Wine Tasting The Renaissance chateau in Melnik, together with the Church of Sts. Peter and Paul, rises above the confluence of the rivers Labe (Elbe) and Vltava. A tour of the chateau presents the rich collections of paintings and furniture of the Lobkowicz family, which owns the chateau today. From the chateau's terrace and restaurant you will enjoy magnificent views of the confluence of the Labe and Vltava rivers, the majestic Rip Mountain, the volcanic peaks of the Ceske stedohori (Central Bohemian Uplands) and the St. Ludmila Vineyard. The best known wine from Melnikk, Ludmila in its distinctive bottle, is named for St. Ludmila. You will taste it in the chateau cellars.

Czech Dinner & Music If you would like to experience a typical Slavic evening then join this excursion to be taken to a well-known restaurant where one can get both food, drink and at the same time enjoy dancing and singing show in a lovely atmosphere. The 3 course dinner lets you sample typical local dishes and an added plus is unlimited drinks (wine or beer or soft drinks), a glass of sparkling wine and also coffee or tea. During the evening there is folk music from all over the country with songs and dances from Bohemia, Moravia and Slovakia plus some gypsy music and dancing. Guests also have the opportunity to see some of the typical folk instruments such as the hammer-dulcimer, fujara and type of bagpipe. Towards the end of the evening there will be some international music - with the chance to dance if one wants to and to round off the evening one can listen to some soothing classical music.

The Best of Medieval Prague An afternoon of architectural beauty and a chance to see around the castle district for an in-depth look at Prague's history. With a local guide you will be taken up the hill to Prague Castle to have a tour of the interior to see St. Vitus' Cathedral with the crypt of the Czech kings and perhaps the tower, plus the new part of the Cathedral, the old Royal Palace and St. Georges' Basilica. (As this is a walking tour please wear suitable shoes).

Evening On A Boat The banks of the Danube at Budapest illustrate the various periods of the capital's history and the city claims one of the world's most beautiful urban cityscapes. Take a cruise along the River Danube lasting about 2 hours, with a local guide on board, to enjoy a wonderful view of the city at night. After a welcome glass of champagne you will be served a 3 course traditional dinner of Hungarian and international dishes , including also dessert, plus wine, mineral water and coffee. At the end of the cruise you will be taken back to the hotel by coach.

Hungarian Night Treat yourself to a typical Hungarian evening in a traditional local restaurant situated in a beautiful forest among the hills just outside Budapest. At the entrance you will be welcomed with music and a homemade Hungarian spirit served in Miska jugs, which can then be taken home as souvenirs. This will be followed by a 3 course local specialities dinner with unlimited wine, mineral water and coffee. During the evening you will be entertained with live gipsy music and folk-show - the latter giving you an overall picture of the Hungarian folklore, starting from the dances of Kalocsa up to the gipsy dancing. At the end of the evening drive back to the hotel in Budapest.

Royal Palace of Godollo An afternoon excursion with a local guide to drive to the Royal Palace of Godollo, which is just outside Budapest and is one of Hungary's most beautiful baroque buildings. The Palace was commissioned in the 1740's and was named after Antal Grassalkovich, who was a close friend of the Empress Maria Theresa of Austria. The visit will start with the tour of the Palace with rooms dedicated to Sissy and Franz-Josef plus the Baroque area dating back to the Grassalkovich dynasty. After the tour clients will be offered coffee and pastries in the palace cafe and then given free time to look around the famous gardens and palm house. After the visit return back to Budapest in the late afternoon.

Skanzen Museum & Szentendre A more or less full day excursion with a local guide going first to the fascinating open air museum of Skanzen. The park displays development of architecture from all the regions of original buildings typical of their region carefully dismantled and rebuilt. The rooms are fully furnished with period furniture, the kitchens show fireplaces and pots and pans and the pantries have original containers for food etc. The visit will be made on the Skanzen train with stops at various regions. There will be a chance to visit a bakery for watching and tasting of the original "flat bread". After the visit rejoin the coach and drive to Szentendre for a short stop and time to look around. Szentendre lies in a picturesque setting on the Danube and its architecture and historical monuments all contribute to the formation over the years of colonies of painters, sculptors and artists who have lived there or still live there today. The town offers a multitude of spectacular sights and a fascinating artistic presence. Later in the afternoon drive back to Budapest.

Evening In The Viennese Woods A visit to Vienna is not complete without an evening visit to a traditional authentic "heuriger" - which actually means "the new wine". You will be taken to a family heuriger, which goes back 300 years of cultivating and producing their own wine. There is a 3 course dinner of typical vintner's fare, with water or lemonade or even better unlimited wine! You will be entertained with heuriger music and songs performed by local players.

Hofburg Concert Vienna is called the "music capital of the world" and this is a unique possibility to see some of the rooms of the Imperial Palace by attending an evening concert of the Wiener Hofburg Orchestra. The orchestra offers its guests an unforgettable evening with the famous and beloved compositions of the "King of waltz" Johann Strauss as well as arias of operas by W.A. Mozart.

Schonbrunn Palace & Gardens A guided tour lasting approx. Three and a half hours with first a visit of the actual Schonbrunn Palace, the former summer residence of the Habsburgs, where one can see approximately 35 of well over 1000 rooms of the Palace with all of them containing their original furniture. Afterwards a visit of the beautiful gardens will leave an unforgettable impression. Free time to explore the gardens on ones own.

Visit Abbey Melk has been a spiritual and cultural center of Austria for more than 1000 years, first as a castle and then as a Benedictine monastery. During the guided visit of Melk Abbey, which lasts approx. 2 hours, guests will see the exhibition in the former Imperial Rooms, the Marble Hall, the balcony and library and the church. Between May and October guests can also visit the abbey park with its baroque garden pavilion and also visit the newly restored northern bastion, with a spacious gift shop, additional exhibition space and a panoramic terrace.

Bavarian Evening and Dinner A must during a stay in Bavaria is a visit to a beer hall. On this evening excursion you will be taken to a popular beer house where you will be served a 3 course typical local dinner including either local Bavarian beer (wine or soft drink also available). Be ready to enjoy the real Bavarian atmosphere!

Sound of Music Scenes A fascinating excursion with local guide lasting approx. 3 hours to show you the scenes that have become immortal through the "Sound of Music" film. First a walking tour to the Green Market, past University Church and Festival Hall and then through St. Peter's cemetery, where the family hid from the Nazis and were betrayed by Rolf, up to Nonntal convent to see the church. Then rejoin the coach and proceed direction Anif to see the "Hollywood" house of the Von Trapps, Hellbrunn Palace with views over to the Untersberg. Afterwards return back to the centre of Salzburg.
