A Taste Of Athens
"A perfect introduction to the oldest and most historical neighborhood of Athens, begin this evening with an escorted walking tour of Plaka. Built around the northern and eastern slopes of the Acropolis, the district of Plaka is known as the neighborhood of the gods, referring not only to the numerous Archaeological sites, but also to the ancient gods of Greece and their passion for entertainment, drinking wine and dancing. While making your way through the labyrinth of small streets lined with souvenir shops selling leather, jewelry, replicas of archaelogical findings, also notice the neoclassical architecture. See the old houses, once mansions, with their red roof tiles, the Lysikrates Momument opposite Hadrians Arch and as you proceed along the main pedestrian street within Plaka called Andrianou Street, you will pass by the Ancient Agora, Roman Agora, the Bath house of the Winds, finally making your way towards the Greek taverna for dinner and entertainment. Our typical Greek menu begins with various starters to introduce you to the local food including cheese pies, spinach pies, village sausage, stuffed vine leaves and meatballs along with the famous tzatziki dip made of yogurt and garlic, a full greek salad and bread. Acropolis Museum
"Today you have the opportunity to be taken on a guided tour of the newly built and internationally renowned Acropolis museum. Constructed in 2007 and designed by a Swiss architect Bernard Tschumi in co-operation with a Greek architect Michalis Fotiadis, the museum covers 25,000 sq. meters with 14,000 sq. meters of exhibition space. This was a long awaited vision of the Athenians to successfully support, conserve, safely house, and display the thousands of artifacts currently associated with the Acropolis and ancient Athens. Free time is allowed for walking or shopping in the Plaka district of Athens before entering the museum. The museum itself, suspended on pillars, is built above a large urban settlement which can be seen by looking down while walking around the exhibition as the floor surface is made of glass. The main attraction of the museum is the Parthenon Gallery. Found on the third floor, you can see what remains in Greece of the Parthenon marbles and fully understand the size and structure of the Acropolis. The gallery also constructed of glass, provides spectacular views of the Acropolis.

Aegean Cruise
"An early departure from the hotel with your Tour Director at approximately 7.15am, and drive to the designated port for embarkation on today's cruise of the Saronic Gulf. Departing at 8.00 am, begin sailing towards the island of Hydra, located approximately 37 nautical miles from the southern mainland. You will notice that donkeys are used for transportation on this small island as cars, by law, are prohibited. By Night
"Escorted by your Tour Director, depart from your hotel and make your way along the harbour front until you reach the port of the Caique boats. Here you will be welcomed on-board by the Captain and taken to the island of Bourtzi which is located approximately 450m from shore. You will have time to explore the Bourtzi Fortress, built to provide protection to the town of Nafplio mainly against pirates. After the Greek War of Independence of 1821, where the fortress was active in defending the town against the Turks, the next few unsettled decades saw the fortress occasionally housing government officials in need of a secure and protected enviroment. In 1865 the fortress became the permanent residence for the town's executioners, and finally from 1930 - 1970 The Bourtzi Fortress was used as a Hotel. After approximately 30 minutes to explore the small island of Bourtzi, return to the port with the local Caique and after a short 5 minute walk to a nearby Taverna, you can enjoy a traditional 3 course meal listening to the bouzouki player entertain with traditional Greek tunes. The meal starts with "Gemista" which is an oven baked tomato, stuffed with rice, onion, garlic, and a combination of herbs. For the main course you can choose between oven baked lamb on the bone or chicken breasts served with potatoes cooked with olive oil and oregano, accompanied by a traditional greek salad with tomatoes, cucumber, onion, feta cheese and olives. Next you continue to the Kariye Museum, once the 11th century Church of St Saviour in Chora. It was repaired in the Period of Commenses and Palaiologuses, and is considered to be the most important Byzantine monument in Istanbul after Hagia Sofia. Whilst unremarkable in its architecture, the interior walls of the church are decorated with impressive 14th century mosaics, which portray scenes from the lives of Christ and the Virgin Mary. These brilliantly coloured paintings embody the vigour of Byzantine art. Continue your tour with the "Misir Carsisi", the Spice Market (Egyptian Bazaar) The bazaar was (and still is) the center for the spice trade, and many spices used to be imported from Egypt in the past. Mykonos-Apollo Sanct Of Delos
Delos, once a Sacred Island, is the legendary birthplace of the Sun God Apollo and his twin sister Artemis. For 500 years, Delos was the religious & commercial hub of the entire Aegean. Today, the only remaining inhabitants are the keepers of its treasured ruins. Depart from the port of Mykonos by boat, and sail along the western coast of the island, through Diles & Rhenia Islands, to the ancient harbour of Delos where you begin the guided walking tour. Old City & Philerimos
Drive along the medieval walls to the summit of Mount Smith, the Acropolis of ancient Rhodes. From the tumbled massive pillars of the Temple of Athena, the view encompasses the nearby Temple of Apollo, the stadium of Diagorasand the port, once protected by the Colossus of Rhodes, one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world. The drive continues across the island to Philerimos. The summit of Philerimos was the site of Ialysos, one of the three ancient cities of Rhodes. Later sites include the restored Byzantine Church of Our Lady of Philerimos, a chapel with 15th Century frescoes, and the ruined Castle of the Knights. After the visit and some free time, return to Rhodes and begin a guided walk of the old walled city to the Porte d'Amboise. The Palace of the Grand Master of the Knights of Rhodes is a palace in the town of Rhodes. The site was previously a Byzantine citadel that functioned as a headquarters and fortress. The palace was built in the 14th century by the Knights of Rhodes who occupied Rhodes from 1309 to 1522. After the island was captured by the Ottoman empire, the palace was used as a fortress. The original palace was largely destroyed by an ammunition explosion in 1856. When the Kingdom of Italy occupied Rhodes in 1912, the Italians rebuilt the palace in a grandiose pseudo-medieval style as a holiday residence for Victor Emmanuel of Italy and later for Benito Mussolini, whose name can still be seen on a large plaque near the entrance. On 10 February 1947, the Treaty of Peace with Italy, one of the Paris peace treaty, determined that the recently-established Republic of Italy would transfer the Dodecanese to the Greek Kingdom. In 1948, Rhodes and the rest of the Dodecanese were transferred as previously agreed. The Greeks converted the palace to a museum.

Proceed on foot uphill, to the great staircase leading from the Hellenistic Portico to the Acropolis and Temple of Athena. A Taste Of Crete
The tour begins from the Venetian lion-guarded port of Heraklion with a drive through the city to the famous wine producing area of Peza, south of Heraklion. The drive is through breathtaking landscape of countryside and vineyards as old as Minoan times. The first stop is a modern winery, where you will see the updated methods of wine making and sample some of the delicious Cretan wines. The drive continues through rural villages to the village of Archanes, the municipality in the area. On the way, a photo stop is made at Vathypetro to view one of the oldest farmhouses in Crete, dating to the Minoan period 16th Century B.C.. The tour continues through the island's hilly countryside where olive groves and vineyards existed from as far back as 4,000 years. Arriving at the village of Archanes, which is situated 10 km south of the Palace of Knossos, you will visit the quaint market town of Archanes characterised by many restored sandstone houses dating from the Turkish period. Palace Of Knossos

Ancient Ephesus
Drive through the colourful town of Kusadasi and along the coast to reach Ephesus, famous in antiquity for its Temple of Diana - one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World - and later the home of St. John. During the years of the Roman Empire, the Greek port of Ephesus became the greatest city in Asia Minor. Upon arrival at Ephesus follow your guide to enter the ancient site through the Magnesian Gate. Discover innumerable monuments including the Forum, the Odeon, the Library of Celsus, the Thermal Baths of Scolastika and the Great Theatre built in the Greek Era and reconstructed in the Roman period, which is still noted for its remarkable acoustics. View the symbols all around and marvel at the fact that one is still able to read the inscriptions in the ancient Greek language. Ephesus & The Terrace Houses
Ephesus terrace houses are located on the hill, opposite the Hadrian Temple. Also called as "the houses of rich", important for the reason give us information about family life during the Roman period. They were built according to the Hippodamian plan of the city in which roads transected each other at right angles. There are six residential units on three terraces at the lower end of the slope of the Bulbul Mountain. The oldest building dates back into the 1C BC and continued in use as residence until the 7C AD. Ephesus and Terrace Houses are covered with protective roofing which resembles Roman houses. The mosaics on the floor and the frescos have been consolidated and two houses have been opened to the public as a museum. They had interior courtyards (peristyle) in the center, with the ceiling open. They were mostly two-storied, upper stores have collapsed during time. On the ground floor there were living and dining rooms opening to the hall, and upstairs there were bedrooms and guest rooms. The heating system of the terrace houses were the same as that in baths. Clay pipes beneath the floors and behind the walls carried hot air through the houses. The houses also had cold and hot water. The rooms had no window, only illuminated with light coming from the open hall, so that most of the rooms were dim. The excavations of the terrace houses started in 1960. The restoration of the two of the houses have been finished and can be visited today.

Oia Village
Driving along the road you will have the unique opportunity to admire the panoramic view of the Aegean Sea and the neighbouring islands. A unique sight is the various layers of lava that can be seen on the face of the rock, each layer being another phase of the activity of the volcano. Built on the Caldera rim, Oia Village is an excellent example of Cycladic architecture. Explore the village walking along the cobble-stone streets and the white washed houses with blue shutters where one gets the impression that they are a beautiful travel poster. Santorini Sailing & Volcano
Enjoy a cruise (on motorboat) around the active crater of Nea Kameni islet. Sail along the strange formations of its volcanic shores, where black lava rocks and white pumice are combined beautifully with the red colour of lava. Take a walk to the top of the volcanic island where sulphur is spewed into the air by one of the craters. Enjoy this surreal landscape as your guide narrates the creation and history of the volcano and the last eruption leading to the destruction of the island of Santorini. The tidal wave created by the eruption was of such an immense magnitude, it destroyed the thriving city of Knossos on the island of Crete. As your caique enters the narrows of the two lava islets, Palea and Nea Kameni, the colour of the water changes from dark blue to sulphur green. In the distance, admire the breathtaking sight of Fira town with its white washed houses clinging precariously on the rim of the Caldera. Take time to swim in the warm waters heated by Hot Springs on the sea floor. Your excursion will end in Fira where your guide will show you the way to the cable car and you will make your own way back to the ship.
