Escorial & Valley of the Fallen
The guided excursion from Madrid lasts approx. 4 hrs and takes you to visit two of Spain's most famous sights: El Escorial, the famous royal monastery which was commissioned by King Felipe 11 as a testament to Spain's devout Catholic faith. The highlights of this large complex include the elegant basilica, the Pantheon de los Reyes and the Patio de los Reyes. It was considered the 8th wonder of the world for a long period of time and it is currently a world heritage site. Then the Valley of the Fallen, which is an enomous monument built between 1940 and 1959 to honour the Spainards killed during the civil war. It's Basilica is excavated in the mountain at 1350m above sea level. The impressive Holy Cross of the Valley of the Fallen is the largest in the world and stands on top of a rocky cliff known as "Risco de la Nava" at 1,400m above sea level. At the end of the visit return back to Madrid by coach.
Approximate value: €50 EUR per person

Granada's Hidden Secrets
To feel Granada, nothing could be better than to lose oneself in it, to allow oneself to be transported by its magic. So many architectural styles are to be found all over the city with present and past blending in perfect harmony, creating an interrelation of history through their buildings. Before seeing the most important sight of Granada (the Alhambra), join a sightseeing tour with local guide lasting approx. 3 hours. First by coach to the Carthusian Monastery to visit the Cloister, Church and Sacristy before driving back to the centre of Granada for a visit of the Royal Chapel and explanation outside the Cathedral. Free time then in the Old Moorish quarter "Alcaiceria" before walking with the local guide to the main square - Plaza Bib Rambla - and then continuing to the heart of the city "Puerta Real". At the end of this fascinating glimpse of Granada return back to the hotel.

You will have time to wander around on your own before being taken to one of the local restaurants where the decor, music and warmth of the view make a experience worth enjoying. The traditional menu offers a choice of first and second course followed by dessert, and includes 1/2 bottle of wine per person or a soft drink, iced water and coffee.
Approximate value: €40 EUR per person
