Sound & Light Show Pyramids History will come alive for you on this unforgettable evening of entertainment, with the famous pyramids sound and light show on a plateau just outside Cairo. The show, with background music, begins with the illumination of the sphinx, who narrates the history of the pyramids and their builders. Then using laser beams and light projection on the walls of the mummification temple, desert sands, pyramid walls and the sphinx itself, the pyramids are lit up with multi coloured lights. The voice of the sphinx is so dramatic and mysterious that it makes one feel like being in a typical pharaonic atmosphere.

Approximate value: $45 USD per person

Sound & Light in Karnak Temple Rest in awe at the beauty of the Temples of Karnak illuminated against the darkness of the sky. Karnak is not a single temple but a temple within a temple and a shrine within a shrine. It was constructed from the beginning of the middle kingdom to the Grecoroman period. The unique show tells the story of the temple and the history of Thebes, including the lives and achievements of the great pharaohs who built the Necropolis. The show begins as one walks along the Ram Avenue and the second part of the show finds one seated overlooking the sacred lake which reflects the illuminated temple and continues with the story of Egypt.

Approximate value: $40 USD per person

Nubian Village by Coach Experience the lifestyle of the ancient tribes of Nubians in a Nubian village set in a beautiful landscape of palm trees, located at the bottom of Elephantine Island. This tribe are friendly with a simple lifestyle and live in houses made of mud brick with vaulted ceilings to allow the air to enter and circulate creating a natural ventilation system. The bright colours of the houses seem more African in their style than Egyptian. Upon arrival on the island by boat you will be taken to one of the local houses with the opportunity to drink mint tea, taste a pancake with honey and also to make a tattoo and even hold a baby crocodile! Although keeping a crocodile is no longer legal in Egypt there is a special exemption that one crocodile can be raised per household until it is a year old and then it has to be released into Lake Nasser.
