Evangeline- Book, Lyrics, and Music by Ted Dykstra Written and conceived by Ted Dykstra and channeling Longfellow's famous poem, this sweeping historical epic recounts the tale of star-crossed lovers Gabriel and Evangeline, torn apart during the 1755 Acadian Deportation. Inspired by traditional Maritime and Cajun music, Evangeline is driven by a rich-blend of Broadway ballads and lush ensemble numbers, as performed by 34- member cast and 13 piece orchestra.
