Day 2Las Vegas–Williams
Cross the desert and the [FP] old Mojave gold-strike country to Williams, a picturesque mountain town with Route 66 as the Main Street and the gateway to the Grand Canyon. Enjoy one of America’s best preserved stretches of the Mother Road. Walk Main Street and you’ll find vintage neon on buildings that are preserved to their original character, and restaurants that have the character of the Route 66 heyday.
Day 3Williams–Grand Canyon Railroad–Grand Canyon National Park
Take an unforgettable journey into the canyon on the GRAND CANYON RAILROAD. From your 1950s-era passenger car, while strolling musicians roam playing tunes of yesteryear, marvel at one of the Natural Wonders of the World as you experience breathtaking views of the Grand Canyon. There’s plenty of free time to wander along the canyon rim and lose yourself in the majesty and magnificence that is [FP] GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK. There is time for an optional helicopter flightseeing tour of the Grand Canyon—definitely the thrill of a lifetime. Accommodations for this evening are inside the park.
Day 4Grand Canyon National Park–Monument Valley–Kayenta
If you miss the sunset over the canyon, sunrise is just as impressive! To experience the American West that’s been immortalized on the silver screen, journey across the Navajo Nation to MONUMENT VALLEY. Situated on the Arizona/Utah border, the valley’s scenic desert vistas and iconic buttes have appeared in countless classic Western films.
Day 5Kayenta–Lake Powell–Page
This morning, your 4-WHEEL-DRIVE TOUR is a memorable way to experience Monument Valley. Afterward, head to Page and visit the [FP] Glen Canyon Dam, holding back the waters of the Colorado River in Lake Powell, the country’s second-largest man-made lake. This afternoon, consider an optional Antelope Canyon cruise, which takes you onto the lake and into the tight, winding canyons.

Our optional early morning flights provide another unique perspective of Lake Powell. This beautiful sightseeing flight also includes Glen Canyon Dam, Wahweap Marina, Tower Butte, and Rainbow Bridge, the largest natural arch on Earth. Then, travel into Utah along the Grand Staircase to [FP] BRYCE CANYON NATIONAL PARK. Years of Experience: 5 years
I believe the path to becoming a Tour Director started for me as a young teenager when our family loaded up the car and embarked upon a cross-country road trip from Virginia to California and back. We did our own "vacation" long before the Griswolds came along! Born, raised and educated in Virginia, I have slowly but surely made my way west with each career opportunity and job transfer, rediscovering many of America's most beautiful National Parks, forests and recreation areas that I first fell in love with on that family road trip back in the day. The chance for a career change came in 2010, when I became a Tour Director, and now reside in Denver, Colorado. This area provides great proximity to National Parks such as Rocky Mountain, Yellowstone, Grand Teton and Bryce Canyon. Having become very familiar with this beautiful part of our country, I look forward to sharing it with you on a tour of America's spectacular National Parks and Canyons.
