Excursion to Qumrun, Masada & the Dead Sea A spectacular day trip will take you through the Judean wilderness landscape in the Dead Sea area, the lowest point on the surface of the earth. Enjoy the scenery as you follow the road between the salty water and majestic desert mountains. Catch glimpses of the Caves of Qumran, where the precious Dead Sea scrolls were found. Then ascend by cable car to the clifftop Fortress of Masada and hear how 960 Jewish zealots preferred death at their own hands to the indignity of surrender to overwhelming Roman forces. Later reach one of the comfortable Dead Sea resorts where you will have the chance to experience the feeling of buoyancy in the heavy water. Return back to Jerusalem.

Approximate value: $88 USD per person

Israel Museum and Yad Vashem Travel to Yad Vashem, considered the primary memorial and museum of the Holocaust. Visit the Israel Museum to see the Shrine of the Book (where the Dead Sea Scrolls are exhibited) and the scale model of Jerusalem at the time of Christ.
