Tuscany, Rome & Cinque Terre (6200)

9 Day Tour from Rome to Rome

2017 Tour Details

The vibrant city of Rome, the rolling hills and historic towns in Tuscany, and the breathtaking beauty of Cinque Terre…these and more await you on this fabulous Italy tour. You’ll spend three nights in Rome (with guided sightseeing), four nights in the quaint spa town of Montecatini, and one night in Siena. Also visit Pisa, Florence, San Gimignano, and Assisi.

One of the highlights of this Italy tour is an excursion to Cinque Terre, a name given to five medieval villages on the Italian Riviera and today a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The area is noted for its natural beauty with terraces built into the mountainside on cliffs that drop down into the sea. Delight in the unique charm of the fishing villages and take in the breathtaking views. Words cannot describe the spectacular scenery—you must witness it in person.

Another tour highlight is an excursion to Florence, one of Europe’s most beautiful cities, with its artistic masterpieces from the Renaissance. Your walking tour introduces you to the city’s highlights, including the Piazza della Signoria, the center of Florence’s political life since the 14th century and adorned with ornate sculptures. Take an excursion to the hilltop town of San Gimignano, a small, medieval town uniquely situated among vineyards and olive groves. See the many towers, which were built by wealthy families to show their economic power. In Siena, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, visit Piazza del Campo, one of Italy’s most famous medieval piazzas.

In addition to its beautiful cities and medieval towns, Tuscany is famous for its Chianti wine, and no vacation to Tuscany would be complete without visiting a winery. On this Italy tour, you’ll visit a renowned wine estate and indulge in an enjoyable lunch. What more could you ask for in a value-minded Italy vacation?
